Honestly, they should have come to San Jose instead of Oakland (or Sacramento.) It would be much better received here for two reasons:

1) The South Bay lacks the culture of NIMBY-ism that Oakland and SF have, but more importantly:

2) SAN JOSE HAS NO GOOD BREWERIES. A Golden Road would be a step up from everything here. (This isn't the case in Oakland, SF, or Sacramento.)
