This friendly, bustling Temescal hangout has the relaxed vibe of a Barcelona cafe, and chef-owner Daniel Olivettas three dozen tapas keep things authentically Iberian: a lusty Spanish omelet ribboned with chorizo; lamb meatballs with an earthy chocolate-tomato sauce; three different gazpachos in fluted glasses; slow-cooked octopus served in a glittering sardine can. The perfunctory seafood paella is worth skipping, but the desserts particularly the grilled chocolate brioche sandwich with crema catalana are delectable. Affordable and eclectic all-Spanish wine list.
