Re: “Alameda Landlord Who Evicted 33 Families Slams Councilmembers

isn't there some violations he can be charged with? Are all his inspections recent? Is he paying the things he's supposed to be? If the place is unsafe, then how has he gotten by for so long that now he has 2 mill in repairs? That's a third of his property value and it sounds like he recently bought the place, so he intended to evict everyone? I hope there are some pushback things that people can do.

Re: “Drone Surveillance May Be Unconstitutional

if drones were only used to monitor such people as you are suggesting sir, they would have to be watching our military, police forces and governments. Of course if that were the case, I might be willing to say it was a good idea. Other than that, the small scope of a camera, no matter how long it is looking will never be able to take in the whole picture which is necessary in order to have enough evidence to justly and judge a circumstance. Plus, if I were a criminal, I would just move my crimes indoors, instead of in the line of site of drones.

Re: “Pot Legalization: Who Will Protect the Kids?

Why can't we talk to children about the truth of Marijuana use? Isn't that what we are fighting for? The right to use something that's been lied about, criminalized and used as propaganda for an immoral war against society? Why is it that people think we need to continue to lie to kids? Because that's what the protection part means, make them think it is bad so they don't use it. Well they told us that while we were growing up and it is still a lie. The US government has 17 patents on cannabis. That means they have applied for all the uses that we have been using it for all this time. The lie here is the protection. Protect them by providing them with true information so that they can make good choices. And quit putting children in front of your political agenda to dodge bullets, that should be a crime.
