This Mission District neighborhood cafe is cool enough for hipsters to sip their lattes and read the latest music zines, and for thirtysomething couples to bring their young kids for an early dinner. Every Thursday night from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., this multipurpose cafe hosts free shows featuring a rotating lineup of bluegrass bands, which adds to its homey, yet lively atmosphere. To boot, it also offers delicious sandwiches and fresh salads. With an extensive magazine rack, free wifi, and a heated outdoor patio, this cafe gives customers plenty of reasons to stick around.

Hours: Mon.-Fri. 6:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Sat.-Sun. 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
