It's National Poetry Month, and at Moe's Books (2476 Telegraph Ave, Berkeley) on Thursday, Apr. 26, that means a chance to witness poets presenting their first books. Athena Kashyap reads from Crossing Black Waters, which navigates Indian history and the immigrant experience; and Arisa White, a native New Yorker now living in Oakland, presents Hurrah's Nest, which draws from her life growing up in Brooklyn with seven siblings and one parent.
