Arditti Quartet

When: Sun., March 8, 3 p.m. 2009
Price: $20, seniors $12

Since 1974, the Arditti Quartethas been one of the premiere exponents of contemporary chamber music. Continuing its focus on living composers, whom it often works with on interpretation, the quartet journeys from Europe to MillsCollege to focus on the works of Mills composers past and present. The concert of music by Fred Frith, IannisXenakis, Hilda Paredes, Alvin Curran, and Chris Brown is sure to be a knockout. At the Mills College Concert Hall (5000 MacArthur Blvd, Oakland) on Sunday, Mar. 8. 3 p.m., $20, for $12 seniors. Mills.edu/musicfestival or 510-430-2296.
