You may not know what an anthropomorph is, but golly if you want to find out what six local playwrights have to say on the topic, hustle to grab a seat at the next Monday Night PlayGround staged reading series. Given just four-and-a half days to spin out original ten-minute plays and 90 minute rehearsals, six wild and wooly stories — get that dictionary and look up the word, darn it! — each play is delivered script-in-hand by professional actors. The monthly series enters its 26th season like rock stars as a Hollywood contingent in L.A. puts up their half-dozen finest each month. With two locations, the playwright incubator will likely double its claims of presenting more than 950 original short plays in its history.
