Re: “Best Landlord History Lesson: Andrew Mousalimas

Thank you Ms.Gabrielle Canon for this wonderful editorial featuring Andrew Mousalimas, a great human being and real hero. Many of us have benefitted from Andy's meticulous archives of his accounts while serving with the Greek Batallion and US Greek Operational Group. Andy, along with approx. 200 Greek nationals and 1st generation Greek Americans volunteered to fight in the Fatherland during the German occupation. The odds were not in favor of their safe return back to the US, but they volunteered anyway. The Greek Heritage Society of SCA featured Andy in our second documentary THE PROMISE OF TOMORROW, along with two other soldiers, Angelo Lygizos and George Verghis, who fought to liberate Greece. Real heroes who were not properly acknowledged for their bravery until decades later when these operations were finally declassified. We owe Andy and his generation alot. The Greatest Generation for sure.
