Crime drama
Reformed thief Boston Blackie (Chester Morris) organizes a Christmas show for inmates at a prison. The troupe he assembles for the performance includes pretty dancer Eve Sanders (Adele Mara), a group of musicians and a clown. Things go awry when prisoners abduct the clown and replace him with a convict looking to escape. Then, a murder is committed, and investigator Inspector Farrady (Richard Lane) becomes suspicious of Blackie, who must find the real killer in order to exonerate himself.
