Re: “Breasts Exposed

I'm writing in protest to your piece on the Festival Of Breasts at the Stork Club in Oakland. I am the same Anthony daRosa that was mentioned in the article, but it was not me who was originally involved. I am just an organic farmer who lives outside of Fresno, CA., who in the past has unfortunately been involved with a few of Mr. Lindsey's hijincks, but I had nothing to do with the origination of the Festival of Breasts, or Fans, or any thing having to do with Mr. Lindsey's promotions. It was really a mutual friend named John Grotto who deserves that "credit", a little known singer songwriter currently living in Belieze, who had a brief stint in Oakland when he tried to convince other local singer/songwriters to sing through an electric fan while performing on stage. Needless to say... it didn't work very well, so he packed up and moved back to his place on the beach in Central America. I, on the other hand, am a red blooded, patriotic, morally astute American. I would never be involved with any public function that insinuated that women should bare or even celebrate their (I'm even embarased to say it) - breasts. It doesn't matter if Betty Purslip has been exposed as a fake. The spirit of Mrs. Purslip lives on and she still speaks for me, and billions of others like me. Breasts are a serious topic in American society. They should be hidden and supported by bras and sports bras and bikini tops and tank tops and other types of clothing. Mr Lindsey's making light of then should not be encouraged. This is a free country and I demand that my voice be heard and that my reputation be restored!

Signed,
A.E. daRosa
