Consistency has always been at the heart of AC/DC's sound -- Brian Johnson's fearsome howl, Angus Young's raw riffing, brother Malcolm's equally fearsome rhythm guitar playing, and a pounding bottom provided by Cliff Williams and Phil Rudd. There's more of the same on the band's first album in eight years, the Brendan O'Brien-produced Black Ice, and while it's unfortunately only being made available at Wal-Mart, AC/DC is still selling out arenas and cultivating a younger fanbase of wannabe guitar heroes via its involvement with Rock Band 2. Cool enough that Lucinda Williams recently covered "It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)" on her latest, these power-chord wielding Aussies will be shaking the foundations at the Oracle Arena (7000 Coliseum Way, Oakland) on Tuesday, Dec. 2 and Thursday, Dec. 4. 8 p.m., $94.50.
