Re: “Berkeley's Unequal Punishment of Teachers

As Harrison suggests, there's far more to learn in life than what is found in a curriculum. Both our sons experienced teachers who wavered from curriculum to relay more about life and injustice. Our sons adored such teachers and learned far more than what was anticipated, yet these teachers experienced what could be referred to as stressful harassment by BUSD administration. As for the legitimacy of online student reviews, one can also find negative statements against excellent teachers due to subject difficulty.

Re: “Berkeley's Unequal Punishment of Teachers

For all the discussions about equity, college preparedness and tolerance, it's absurd that BUSD hasn't hired or retained more teachers of color. BUSD - What message does that send to your students?
