Re: “Birdland Jazzista Social Club Hopes to Establish an Oakland Music District

I am so happy for Birdman Mike and the music community as well. I have had the pleasure of performing at the Berkeley location many, many times during the past year and I had a BLAST!! The BBQ is "amazingly good" and the vibe is chill, warm and inviting. With not many places for musicians to play in the Bay Area AND with some venues wanting/expecting us to play for FREE, I thank Birdman Mike for "always" giving a guarantee of pay to the musicians. But what is also so wonderful about Birdland is the audience. They audience members are so very appreciative of what we do -- and they come to listen!! It is wonderful when you can introduce new music to such a loving and appreciative crowd!! While I will continue to play at other venues in the Bay Area, whenever Birdman Mike calls me for a show - - I will be there!!

Congrats Birdman.... See you soon.

Re: “Birdland Jazzista Social Club Eyes an Oakland Nest

There should be a Birdland in every city
in America!! I have had the pleasure of
playing the Berkeley Birdland on many
occasions. I cannot thank Michael
enough to express my gratitude in
showing love to Bay Area musicians with
such a wonderful performance space.

Thanks for everything Michael!!
