Re: “California Legalization Campaign Launches With Top-Shelf Officials, Tepid Polling, Dangerous Foes

can we all just get along and pass the damn thing even if it isn't perfect? amend it later if it sucks, other states have shown you can pass a thing, then change the thing if it doesn't work perfectly. Playing "my way or no way" helps no one, and it certainly doesn't help put an end to the phony drug war that has made private prisons & allied interests a zillion dollars, and has not really helped anyone else...

do these regulations taxes fees etc replace local ones, or are they in addition to current local taxes fees and regs? If it's the latter, wow prices are going to be going wayyyyyyy up...

Yes, DiFi is out of touch, but anyone running against her is even worse, so it's the evil of two evils.

Re: “The Battle for Adjunct Faculty Rights

I'm curious - why did they become members of SEIU, and not AFT or the CTA? I have nothing against SEIU representing un-represented workers, but it just seems the other two would be more of a fit in terms of experience dealing with higher ed institutions. Then again I could be wrong , thus I ask.
