Re: “West Oakland's Kilovolt Coffee Vandalized After Controversial Redevelopment Plan Gains Approval

Amazing how misplaced the anger is. How about attacking the liquor stores who have been poisoning the African American population for years with toxic cigarettes and alcohol, instead of a place that is trying to serve healthy meals.
I used to sympathise with anti-gentrifiers. But actions like this make me feel that if you want to drink malt liquor instead of coffee, and eat doritos instead of avocado on toast, you can do it just as well in pittsburg or vallejo.

Re: “Under the Skin

the only interesting thing about this movie is that it depicts on screen what is actually happening to the audience; suckers lured in by a pretty face only to get quagmired in timeless gelatin of emptiness.

Re: “Berkeley Goes There With Parking

parking on public streets should never ever be free to anyone. As a motorist myself, I am willing to pay for the space my private property takes up.

Re: “Do Disabled Motorists Need Free Parking?

Parking a private vehicle in public space should never, ever be free. Not only are cars responsible for 20 to 50 thousand deaths every year in this country, they pollute everyone's air, and take up public space with their incessant parking. Motorists need to pay there share and poney up to their costs to the public. NO FREE PARKING EVER! disabled or not
