Re: “Former D.E.A. Chief in Houston: Legal Marijuana Is 'A Matter of When, Not If'

"reparations to the families of police officers" ?

interesting. i was arrested and put in jail for possessing cannabisin Berkeley CA in the mid 90's. my life re-directed. i was in the holding cell with some people i knew from around my city, coke dealers, car thieves, crack addicts, violent offenders. - side note the crack addict was in special ed when we were younger. he told me that he was going straight to santa rita for a $3 piece of crack (something is very wrong here).

i was threatened with 3 felonies for a 1/4 pound of cannabis that was in a single bag.

i don't need a reparation. but.... im not quite sure i can view the police (apparatus of the very establishment making these ridiculous laws) as victims. get a job that does not hurt people. also the DEA is dirty dirty. what about the victims of these laws who are still in jail OR STILL BEING ARRESTED! check recent lake county news.

in the illegal drug industry in the US, the top management is the government. how come we invaded Afghanistan? not for oil, for heroin lol. burma was producing too much - distributed thru china and other asian outlets, the US drug machine couldn't control the market. grip. hearts and minds. ;)
