Re: “Oakland’s Latest Mess

Wow ! Notice the difference between the Left's treatment of Santana and Anita Hill. No one witnessed their interchanges so the conclusions people had were entirely drawn from their ideologies. The Left shows an interest in Warsaw's alleged probity that it never did in Thomas's.
Even the women who testified for Hill didn't come out until after Hill's assertions
became a cause celebre on the Left.
This oversight nonsense needs to be ended for good, not salvaged.

Re: “UPDATED: Berkeley Schools Superintendent Candidate Withdraws

This is pure nonsense ! Opposing homosexuality is 'bigotry' ?! Opposing Wheatley is anti-Black bigotry by that absurd PC Left nonlogic.
This is another example of the stupid leftist politics here blocking qualified applicants for the job. Wheatley is being condemned for his courage in going against the media inspired PC idiocy prevalent around here. One has to subscribe to the homosexual agenda to get any high level jobs here ?
And I refuse to use the propaganda term 'gay' as it makes no sense in describing
sexual orientation than 'straight' does. Both agit-prop terms are meaningless as regards sexuality.

Re: “Deanna Santana Tried to Alter Damning Report

Good for her ! We need to end the left media war against the OPD and start a serious one against crime !

Re: “The Amazon Sales Tax Loophole

The only disappointing thing is that this tax bill ever went through as it was nice to have a place where you didn't pay to pay tribute to the state and its beneficiaries. I wasn't aware of the 'loophole' till I read Mr. Gammon's column today but I hope everybody benefits from it except the government.
That's what I call real.

Re: “The People's Police Department

Readers should buy Escape From Detroit:The Collapse Of America's Black Metropolis by Paul Kersey, available on Amazon & probably elsewhere.
Detriot's police force has a very low solve rates and Detroit itself has one of the highest crime rates in the country, if not the world. There is nothing in Detroit that any sane person or city would wish to emulate.
When Detroit was 70-80% white it was a thriving city but now as 89% Black city it is the hellhole of America. And for the Blacks to blame it on the police instead of their own crime is beyond belief.
This is one of numerous leftist slanted pieces I have commented on in this issue
just this morning !
Blacks who are fed up of Black crime and an utterly incompetent police force in Detroit are fleeing the city as fast as whites.

Re: “Judge May Not Let Cops’ Union Intervene

Henderson is laughing at us and he has reason to. Obviously he is the last person to be able to make an impartial judgment on this case which was defeated in criminal court and the California lunacy of retrying the same cases in civil court should be abolished. We are one of the few states that has this stupid law. While I am no admirer of the Police Union they certainly have more standing here than ambulance chasing attorneys.

Re: “Koch Brothers Prove That Prop 32 Is Good for Corporations

There is plenty of evidence that many union members have been dissatisfied for decades that money is forcibly taken from them to support the Left and the Democratic Party and the best evidence is the rapidly decreasing union membership in the private sector. The unions in the public sector protect incompetents at all levels of government and make it difficult to remove them
from the public payroll.
Gammon's arguments here are the same bogus ones used to attack Meg Whitman in 2010 for using her money to run. The Left had no problem with wealthy leftists like Rockefeller, Kennedy, Bloomberg, Metzenbaum, Weicker and Soros using their wealth to back leftist policies. Somehow I'm supposed to be more concerned about how the Kochs or Romney spend their money than Brown and Obama are spending mine ? Doesn't compute.
