Re: “Bright Futures Goes to Hollywood

Check out the you tube videos of last years hit, Bright Futures on Broadway and the preview of this years show. Ms. Ivy, keep up the good work in our community for our kids. Your little old house is and has been a great home for educating our students.

Re: “Coaches Question How Matt Stewart Got Hired

I am concerned that the WCCUSD leadership has not come out with any statement condemning the behavior of any employee that engaged in or did not report such emails. WCCUSD has spent a large amount of money on consultants to speak on cultural inclusion, racism and sexism. They are very quick to punish students for their behaviors, yet they(WCCUSD) hide behind "personnel confidentiality", which allows for the perpetuation of racism, sexism, and other deplorable behavior. The District should form a committee to research, review and make recommendations on the plight of students of color and staff insensitivity.

Re: “West Contra Costa School Official on Leave for Sending Racist Emails

As an educational advocate who work with many students in WCCUSD, the Stewart's behavior shows his disdainment and lack of respect for the students, parents and staff in the WCCUSD. It also reflect the sentiments of many, that WCCUSD has a plantation mentality toward people of color. This man should have been fired immediately, and the District should have issued a public statement regarding its position on this type of behavior. Hope you continue to investigate and let us know, if Stewart is receiving a salary or is currently employed by the District.
