why not install community gardens on plots that actually are vacant?
if these are developed properties, then people should be living or working in them.

if this is about the homeless, just charge a fee for bedrooms that are not being slept in. that money can house the homeless who don't end up in a bedroom belonging to someone who doesn't want to pay the fee.

what court? which judge? what did the judge's opinion say to support his decision? what about the first eviction? what causes were deemed overriding for the evictions??
i need more information.

i started cooking at 7. later on, i lived in a student co-op and we used the small planet cookbooks. after college, i went to france as au au pair. in the late 70s, i could not afford to go in the front door of the gourmet ghetto, so i went in the back door of the inn season, and they let me do a veggie prep internship - very educational.

now, i am looking for the old folks home that cooks only organic from scratch.

i graduated from el cerrito high in 1972. i went back for the farewell open house they had before the demolition and reconstruction.
i talked to the machine shop teacher, and learned they were going to trash all the machines. bad idea.
i wonder what happened to all those wonderful slate blackboards?
later on, i went to the open house for the new building - it was ready for lockdown. disturbing...
