Re: “Oakland Police Underage Sex Scandal Involves Cop Who Possibly Killed His Wife

Was it necessary to include the name and photo of the alleged assault victim? It's not like she has enough to deal with here.

Re: “Uptown Shuffle: Captain & Corset Replaces 2212 Wine Bar

Really, "Captain" is inherently masculine now? Kathryn Janeway would disagree.

Re: “Top Ten Least Googleable Local Restaurant Names

@Ellen. I accept payment in sausage at Telegraph. That place is amazing.

Re: “What's Left of BRT?

@Transitboy, true, and people should use BART if they're going the whole route. But the little cluster of Middle Eastern restaurants at 30th and Telegraph would benefit from more reliable and more frequent bus service with BRT, and the whole of International Boulevard, and anywhere else that people won't visit or invest because its too far from BART. There are more than 10 interesting places along that 17 mile route.

Re: “What's Left of BRT?

As an Oakland resident, I cannot wait for this project to open and see an immediate boom in ridership and reliability (like every other BRT in the country). But almost more than that, I cannot wait for Berkeley to scratch its collective head and wonder why its buses get stuck in traffic while Oakland's streets offer no bus delays, continuous bike lanes, and friendlier crosswalks.
