Re: “Yelp and the Business of Extortion 2.0

Totally agree with the comments here. All our positive reviews get filtered out and only the negative ones remain. Of course Yelp is now careful enough not to call us for ads after they have broken through "critical mass" to get enough advertising. But in the early days Yelp was running a dubious extortion scheme, whatever controversial judge Marilyn Hall Patel may have ruled.

Re: “Yelp Extortion Allegations Stack Up

Please keep up the good work and continue to expose Yelp. I am surprise Google would consider buying them for $500 million as Google's stated corporate slogan is "Do no evil". Yelp is extortion, as your countless stories show, positive reviews are subject to disappearing and negative reviews linger forever. I am surprised that Google continues to give such prominence to yelp reviews in their search listings.

Re: “Yelp and the Business of Extortion 2.0

I am a business owner who has been scammed by Yelp. Several positive reviews have disappeared and unreliable blatantly false negative reviews linger on for several months.
