Re: “New Growth in Temescal Alley Means Death for Polymorph Recording

LONG Before Big Box retail and internet monsters like Amazon help demolish main street in the U.S., Real Estate speculation has killed: Record Stores, Book Stores, Cafes, underground style purveyors of all kinds, and, yes, recording studios and the like---> FACELESS "owners" could give a crap about those who paved the way EVERY TIME.... Polymorph will be sorely missed (3 of my bands recorded there) and Sarita Waite will lose no sleep over it, though she CERTAINLY SHOULD. Thanks for helping to screw the music community, Ms. Waite- and letting the almighty dollar have the final word once again....

Re: “Taking on

Maybe not too little, but definitely far too late. At street level, our commercial districts have already been devistated by the likes of Amazon and their "brick and mortar" counterparts, Best Buy and Walmart- who've been selling "loss leaders" for under what all other retailers have to pay wholesale for the same product. It's sickening what politicians have done to support publicly traded mega-corporations just to go after tax dollars and a few "favors..." Now that most book and record dealers are either gone or on their knees, we're going to speak up, just like what the entire country did in the face of the obvious theft of our entire treasury over the last 8 years...
