I am an Oakland based, born and raised journalist, art critic, curator, poet and photographer. I live for engagement and moving the world forward through cultural means. As a freelance curator I have worked on projects both small and large scale at various venues including Lobot gallery and Esteban Sabar Gallery in Oakland and Fivepoints Arthouse in San Francisco, CA. In 2010, I was invited by the University of California Berkeley to help organize and moderate a keynote panel of their annual art symposium. As a freelance journalist, photographer and/or critic my work has appeared in Pork magazine, Hi Fructose, The Oakbook, The East Bay Monthly, Sweetart Magazine, Juxtapoz, Art Practical and Fecalface Dot Com among many others. Recently I was commissioned to pen an essay for Oakland based nonprofit ProArt's 2x2 Solo program. My current home is The longest lived art journal on the web in the Bay Area. Co - founded by Art Forum critic Glen Helfand, it has a rich and storied history.
