Re: “Oakland Planning Commission to Consider 5G Cellphone Facilities

Cumulative RF emissions?! Well, staff just declared it's incompetence. Radio emissions do not "accumulate". They leave no residue. Antenna placement/seperation IS regulated by the FCC alone.

I'm guess "staff" is pandering to ignorance and hoping that when the FCC slaps them down, they can just say it was the big mean feds and take no responsibility for their own stupidity.

Re: “Bay Area Governments Taking Action on Wage Theft

Odd... Unions used to do this. Wonder what happened to that collective activity. Oh yeah... "I can do better for myself on my own".

Except now in places like Google they do it ad hoc and act like they invented collective action.

Re: “State's Deadliest Big Jail System Last Year was Contra Costa County's

Well... The statement that the grand jury DOES have power of subpoena is a hint of a path that might be well followed. Instead of waiting "for someone else to do it", use what is available.

The article mentions the obvious dissembling on the part of the Sheriff,

"It would be a matter of calling all 58 counties and finding the right person in their coroner's office",

With EBX telling us this is in fact closely tracked;

"In fact, in-custody deaths are closely tracked by the California Department of Justice, which publishes detailed data on its website".

But somehow the reporter didn't take the obvious next step and report on what was found there, exactly the thing sheriff is criticized for not doing.

Need I say this all manages to give the appearance of, what is at best, poor reporting? Has DBG returned under a pseudonym?

Re: “The Fault Line and the Dams

Well Hayward city hall is built across the street from the fault. The Oakland hospitals known as Pill Hill are one the fault as is the CD office for the region. It will be a mess sadly.

Re: “The Fault Line and the Dams

More money for dams, less money for high speed rail to valley farm towns.
