Re: “In Dissing Oakland, Dubs Owners Are Making a Big Mistake

Chris - Thanks for saying whats on the mind of all long-time Warrior supporters. Those of us that are not just fans, but support the team with our tax dollars and attendance through the long dark years. Home run.

Re: “In Dissing Oakland, Dubs Owners Are Making a Big Mistake

Karma will teach them just like its teaching the niners and the Raiders....and the bandwagon fans that "love the warriors" will be just like the niners giving away they seat licences and tickets for the trick or treaters next week....great job Chris!!!!

Re: “In Dissing Oakland, Dubs Owners Are Making a Big Mistake

Unfortunately, the Warriors owners are once again showing that the owners of sports franchises in America are not only arrogant and greedy, but absolutely tone deaf in their relentless search for more and more money. Is it ever enough and will they ever realize that it is the fans that make the whole thing work? The NFL owners are well on their way to killing the golden goose with their greedy desire to add Thursday night football and ultimately expand the schedule. They approved the move of two franchises to an LA market that has shown over and over again that the football team they love is the USC Trojans. I can see the Rams returning, but the insanity of moving the Chargers to an LA market where they have no fans, are not a good team and are playing in a soccer stadium in Carson is mind boggling. At the end of the day, the team the LA fans wanted was the Raiders and they are moving to Las Vegas. Mark Davis has shown nothing but outright disrespect for the City of Oakland and one of the most loyal fan bases anywhere, ever. After appearing in a Super Bowl, Jed York and his ego screwed the 49ers for at least a decade by turning his back on San Francisco and moving into a concrete hot box Santa Clara. The fans of Oakland and the east bay supported the Warriors through at least 20 years of losing and the thanks they get is an announcement of a move to SF as soon as they got a championship team. Not only that, they are trying to screw the city on the way out. I don't know about you, but I believe in karma. It is a powerful energy in the universe that is pervasive in all aspects of the human existence. Yes, even more than money. After a 12-4 record last season and despite Davis trying to placate the fans with the signing of Marshawn Lynch, the departing Raiders all of a sudden can't seem to do anything right. I wonder how much mojo will follow the Warriors to SF? Fan loyalty lasts a lot longer than a maximum 3-5 year run of success any sports franchise can put together. After Curry and Durant decline or depart, will SF give them die hard fans that sell the place out? I seriously doubt it.

FYI "Its not even a lot of money for someone like you" is never a persuasive argument, if that is what you are trying to do.

Robert Powers company Regional Parking of Walnut Creek just gave me a ticket while I was getting money out of my car to put in the meter the boy walked up and told me I was to late the money has to be in the meter before it expires no mercy $25 ticket. Went by Mr. Power's home on Thomas Lane the big house with a large boat parked out front his son told me that would have been a close one he probaly wouldn't have given a ticket. Ripoff and he is the president of Walnut Creek Business thats scarry.

Re: “Down and Out at Highland Hospital

I never said I started selling my pain medication to the junkies to raise money for a meal at McDonald's. That was a lie from that reporter. I ended up going to jail from what he said about me. They never seen me sell not one pill but since I had my pills in my father's medication bottle I went to jail for that handcuff to my wheelchair. My back was hurting and the sheriff's wouldn't let me take my medication. This is a comment from Nehemiah Byrdsong himself.

Re: “BART's Broken Promise

It is not the perfect solution, but let's see the pros and cons.

Pros

1. $409 cheaper to implement. $409 is a lot of money no matter how you look at it. 48% of the cost when compared to traditional BART system means that it is a 52% saving, or less than half the cost of the alternative.

2. New trains! The existing BART trains are really getting old.

3. Ready by 2015 instead of who knows when. Does anyone know when BART will get to San Jose? Not by 2015 for sure. The Fremont-Warm Spring extension will come online in 2014, which means that BART won't even be out of Fremont, let alone reaching any part of San Jose, in another 4 years.

Cons

1. One transfer at the Pittsburg / Bay Point station that takes 3 minutes. In reality, even if traditional BART train were used to go all the way to Antioch, there would still be a stop at the Pittsburg / Bay Point station that takes about 20 seconds, so the net additional time is 2 minutes 40 seconds. The time savings in not having to drive that 10 miles of highway 4 easily exceed the transfer time. At any case, this sort of transfer arrangement with synchronized train schedules has been proven to work in Oakland.

2. There is a bit of an inconvenience to have to switch train.

Re: “BART's Broken Promise

Due to the recent bad press given to Antioch by The Wall Street Journal and the SF Chronicle, I was looking to see what good things I could find about this city. Imagine my surprise to read this piece about Antioch and Pittsburg funding a BART system which seems to have had no real intention of ever extending its line to those cities. BART has taken its money, however, for all these years since 1969, right? BART, you are plainly pitiful. And an EBART??? Ridiculous. Just put the damn regular BART into these cities already. If you start now, maybe these men's children will see the result by the time they are grown or have grandchildren, at the rate you are going. WHO is running BART, the Three Stooges?

Re: “Casting Swine Before Pearl Jam

I discovered KPIG just by accident one day. I listened to it while I was doing my gardening. I noticed it played a very eclectic mix of rock, country rock and just all kinds of groovy tunes that I grew up on. I am a piggy for life now. But this morning, I went out to my deck in my back yard to drink a cup of coffee and listen to the radio which is always set to the KPIG station and when I turned on my radio I got some kind of all news station. I know that sometimes the weather plays havoc with the air waves and the station that I have grown to love so much is sometimes affected by it, but I can always dail it in even tho it is a tad faint, I just turn the volume up til it comes in clearer, but today, (August 3 2010) I turned on my radio and not only was'nt it there, but I could'nt find it at all, not even faintly. Has it been taken off the air, or are the air waves just really screwin' with my beloved KPIG station. Please will someone tell me that my worst fears are unfounded and it has not been taken off the air!!!!!!!!! Email me at terry.gaynor@att.net if anyone knows the answer to my delimma!!!!!!!!!!

Re: “Where's Al?

Well, I was just towed and had to pay 290 to get my car back.. Sign said 25..little did I know I was being towed for prior tickets. One I disputed with a letter..(meter not working) and they told me wouldn't except. Well, at the towing company..they wanted for me to sign a form..releasing personal information to Regional Parking.. I would not..

But guess what..they just sent me a invoice in the mail for the prior tickets (3)..and the 290 didn't even include the tickets.. WEll this isn't ending here..
for me. Be glad to pay tickets if I owe..but not the one I disputed..meter wasnt working.

Re: “Has OMI Gone Soft?

I know Bruce Holaday personally, and he was more than capable of achieving the goals he established, all of which were highly worthy, had he been given the resources and time to do so. OMI and the cadets there were very fortunate to have had Bruce Holaday's involvement. Those parents opposed to his leadership cost their children greatly.

Re: “¡Ask a Mexican!

what my confusion is why the hell you mexicans keep on insisting on infesting our country. being the united states of america. do your realize that mexico was made mexico for a reason. for all the greasy wetbacks. get it. why dont you dumbasses pull together as you do so well and clean mexico up and make worth living there. because quite frankly it pissing us white people off and sad to say most white people are so nice they wont tell you to get out. but i am one white person that will speak my mind as all should and tell you guys to get out. its not our fault or problem you were born there thats your parents so why the hell are you our problem. dont you think if you think we wanted you here we we would open up the border and say please infest our country. and if that not bad enough you nasty ass wetbacks try mixing races with us and its rude. you know why there is no white in mexico because we stay where we belong. what a concept you should try it. you wanna know how i ran across your lame page is because I am doing my duty as a white mother should and proving to my daughter how disgusting a mexican uncurcumcised dick looks like to make sure she isnt fooled or stupid enough to get with one of you. you will never be better than us because you come here or take over our population meaning white population we use to have which is yes our problem. so why dont you just grab all of your race go back to mexico grab a broom and clean it up make it livible. we did. if you did that there would be more jobs in mexico. the low pay rate you need to figure out yourselves another thing that is not our problem. so there is my comment from the white people of the us. so get a clue and go back home with this advice and dont forget anyone brown wet back or what ever name you choose these days. please comment back to ullnverno@gmail.com

Re: “¡Ask a Mexican!

"Why are wetbacks so fat?" When i met my wife in Mexico she was slim. Since moving to the US and living on the American diet of big portions and fast food, she has ballooned up to 280 pounds.
