Re: “Oakland May Cut Weed Tax

This mentality of levying high taxes on cannabis businesses comes from the unrealistic assumptions from city councils and the public that people are making money in the industry: the market is in a catch 22 where it needs this image to gain traction and investors. Most cannabis businesses have never made real money; they can't because there is no banking, no mail, and no security.

This industry needs to be nurtured like a seedling and encouraged to grow in the legal direction. Otherwise, we are going to be polarising and preventing the industry and a whole lot of people from elevating themselves and contributing taxes. The effect of California continuing to growing less cannabis is having a direct impact on small towns and communities who are feeling the effects of the cannabis industry recession. The 2018 total illegal harvest was down between 20 and 40% for 2018, that's a lot of missing pounds and dollars.

Re: “Can Legal Weed Save the Music Industry?

Herbal supplements have existed for thousands of years and can be traced during several different cultures. As for now. Herbs are now used to cure diabetic, herpes, chronic pain, asthma and even HIV. Re: “Oakland May Cut Weed Tax

If cannabis zoned real estate was not so drastically scarce, this issue would be far easier to solve. How does a city increase tax receipts and lower taxes, if there are not places in which to do business?

Re: “Oakland May Cut Weed Tax

I seriously don't understand why this is so hard. It's pot. You don't even have to market it. Regulate it enough to make it safe and GTFO. Let's actually make this work.

Re: “Oakland May Cut Weed Tax

How about taxing the foreign real estate companies that have swooped in and taken over buildings and apartments that are getting millions of dollars overcharging people every month for rent?

Re: “Oakland May Cut Weed Tax

Apart from the wisdom of our City relying heavily on marijuana tax revenue, it was always unrealistic to tax the heck out of marijuana businesses that are not allowed under Federal income rules to deduct those taxes and many other normal operating business operating expenses.

Re: “Oakland’s Equity Applicants Are Getting Stronger Together

I would love to turn my auto glass shop into something after being convicted a felon for sales of marijuana 10 years ago. I havent been able to find another job but the family business. Business is terrible and i dont know how much longer we will be around but if cannabis can help i knew i was right about wanting to be involved with a beautiful flower.

Re: “Can the State Help Oakland's Equity Program?

For years, if you were white it was medical and if you were not white, this activity was criminal. Long overdue to bring equity to recognize patients of color, and allow small businesses into the industry (small business: where people of color, women & veterans thrive) and were going to need to offer a hand up after a policy & practice in criminal justice targeting communities of color - not just expect folks to be able to bootstrap anything by themselves - were talking about those who had their boots taken.

Common sense assistance are part of the social justice reforming we so desperately needed. Education is universally needed, funding is unequal.

Re: “Can Legal Weed Save the Music Industry?

My name is Mr. JOHN ALEX, I am 33 years old and I based in Canada. I want to notify the general public how I was helped by Illuminati temple in regaining back my business position after been sacked for about a year and six months. I have been in pains and trouble since when I was sacked from the company where I work called Canada Deposit Insurance corporation in Ottawa (headquarter) in Canada as an agency executive. I have been hopeless, financially down through out that year. But one day as I was browsing through the Internet I came across the post of Mr. John an Illuminati agent saying you can be famous, rich and successful in life by been a member of the great Illuminati Brotherhood, immediately I contacted him and I explained everything to him and he recommended me and he helped me by initiating me to the Great Illuminati Brotherhood and also he gave me all the guidelines and told me their place of worship. With the help of Mr. John I was able to go to the temple and there I was initiated fully as a complete Illuminati member. Surprisingly 40 hours after I was initiated, I receive a call from the company that I have been accepted back again as the agency executive of the company at first I was shocked and surprised but latter regain myself, I was told to resume work the next day by 7:00am. Starting from that day I and my family had been living a joyful and a luxurious life. So viewers who are interested in becoming a member of the Illuminati Brotherhood and also wants to be famous, rich, wealthy and gain power should peacefully contact Mr. John on his email address on (illuminatibloodmoney88@gmail.com) or you can as well call him on +2349060961651 or add him up on whatsapp on +2349060961651) . Re: “Lower Cannabis Taxes Will Be an Option on Oakland's November Ballot

This was really helpful as I am filling out my ballot. I teach US Government at Tech and I'll share this with the class as they fill out their mock ballots this week. Thanks for breaking it down in a straightforward way.

Re: “Is Vaping Cannabis Safe?

My wish, Hope, prayer. Is that I can stay as far away from people like Sherry Smith as possible.. As a child growing up in the smoking age I put up with second hand smoke on a daily basis.. Never complained never bothered me. If it does go somewhere else and leave people alone. Its a free country if you don't like someones smoke go somewhere else. don't be a little baby and complain. I'm not a cigg smoker but I believe in peoples rights. I feel bad for people that require medical cannabis and have to deal with people like Sherry who want them barred from buildings.. What a disgrace. People suck.

Re: “The Cannabis Strains of Summer (for Every Tolerance Level)

Hi, I just want to ask if someone has any idea on which marijuana strain would be very effective when it comes with anxiety attacks and sleep disorder?
I've been suffering for almost 2 months now and mostly can't sleep properly at night. I refrain my self on taking meds coz it seems doesn't work for me. So I started reading some alternative way for my problem and came across this article about querkle from https://eu.gyo.green/tga-subcool-seeds-querkle-tga-qkl-r.html/ and how it could help you relax but the problem is I don't smoke. But then I also found out that you can also make drinks or tea and even muffin/cake as an option aside from smoking it. Why they can't just simply make a pill out of marijuana if they say it could really be some help? Or maybe there are that I'm not aware of. If this is true I would gladly want to hear any of your experience and thoughts regarding this. Thanks in advance

Re: “What Is Smoakland?

Tobacco billboards were banned in 1999. Why does cannabis get a pass? Also, that 71.6% statistic is a joke. I'm sure tons of kids see these.
