Re: “Counseling Carnivores with Will Tuttle

eating or cooking vegetables - that are aLIVE!!! biting them!!! can't you hear them screaming!!!?
Livestock raised in correct farming practices are not the great polluters of reputation.
How about all the poisons put onto the land to grow the produce! in this raped land! We need to farm other ways! Many farms. Many opera houses and health clinics and homes next to many farms farmed sensibly - You need to learn what that is - sensible farming.

Re: “Counseling Carnivores with Will Tuttle

mean meat eaters - like all those tribes of people - particularly in northern latitudes - but all over the world - all those mean people !!!!? who weren't particularly mean until moralizers came along to say they all are!!! I don't think so. People needing to find a way to scold other people, to tell other people that they - the discoverers of this or that 'bad' behavior - are above those bad behave-ers - like school teachers, and preachers-priests. We need to stop creating that class of people -

Re: “Hit Me with Your Best Shot

Yes, an effective technique is screaming to the top of your lungs, and then running as fast as you can (if you are able to, if not the scream will work wonders).

Karate trains the mind, body, and spirit. Training the spirit teaches one to remain clam, think clearly in most situations. One thing I was taught when I was younger because I never hit anyone was to hit to never hit. Training in the dojo is to understand your body, gain information about what the body can and cannot do, and to understand the damage it can do, to respect the techniques, and the people...

Karate begins and end with respect. Train you body, mind, and spirit. Never give up. Keep trying. Try your best to improve who you were yesterday. This is karatedo. :)

A traditional martial art isn't about maliciously hitting someone, it is about not hitting them, instead, thinking, adapting to the situation - it is a way of life!

Check out the new school in Pleasanton: for more information on karate. Also, it is a way to train for the unexpected, you never know when you, a friend, your family's life will be threatened.

Re: “Evolving With Jonathan Gustin

The way Gustin talks about "standard enlightenment" as an attachment to a passive bliss state is absurdly simplistic and misinformed. From that characterization, it is easy to sell this "evolutionary enlightenment" as something new and up-to-date.

Re: “The Achievement Trap

What an amazing truth you speak. It explains a lot about why I struggle to relate to people in this society who are confused by my values that are contrary to theirs. Also, it explains why I feel so much more natural in other countries where the focus is more on people and less on "Stuff."

Forks over knives will be the film to finally awaken us all to this atrocity, of Profit before the People, and keeping the masses diseased in order to keep the corporations in operation. God help us. Our lives are so fragile. Don't become a statistic. Eat right to enjoy this amazing world !!!

Re: “Re-Experiencing Circumcision with Lisa Braver Moss

I've heard of people who think foreskin restoration i's strange, but it's not really controversial. It's just something a man can do to return his penis to its natural state (or at least as close as it can get).

And I can tell you first hand, it works. While this East Bay Restorers group is fictional, there is a real organization called NORM (the National Organization of Restoring Men) that has held meetings in San Francisco and Berkeley in the past, and has other groups throughout the country.

Re: “Awaiting the End of the World With Daniel Pinchbeck

lisakdefevers- I think you need to go back and read your sacred texts again. The ancient Hebrews practiced human/child sacrifice, as did many of the religions of the time. It took most cultures quite a while to decide on the nature and scope of thier god/gods, sometimes borrowing aspects from others or inventing new ones. Sadly, sacrifice seems to be have been nearly a global phenomenon. I guess that the priests in those times figured if they could convince someone to kill a child for thier god then giving all of thier money/shells/shiney pebbles to the priests wouldn't be very hard.

I don't really care if you believe what I just told you about Judeo-Christian history. It is a fact. The point is, your spiritual predecessors killed thier children to glorify thier god Yaweh, Al Shaddai, Jehovah, etc...

So please dear, do not cast stones, I believe one of your holy men spoke about that.

Re: “Awaiting the End of the World With Daniel Pinchbeck

Really? Maybe while Quetzalcoatl is talking to him he can explain why there were found hundreds of skeletal remains in sacrifice pits where they burnt children alive as well as adults to this god called Queltzcoat. Not everyone is bored with the truth. Yaweh still has his kingdom. This so called god he speaks to had the Myans sacrificing people by the droves. Why? Because hes a pagan child killing demon. There is only one God...and he has his angels. Two thirds of the angels stayed faithful to him....the rest were cast out of heaven for siding with lucifer/satan ...every other entity dwells in the fallen angel realm. If you read the word you see that Satan actually had legs and walked before God cursed him to slither on the ground for his transgression with Adam and Eve. Serpent god indeed.....only to those who are lead by the demonic realm. . There is only one God and Jesus is the way to him....all else falls into paganism and fallen angel realms. Known as the watchers. The battle heats up even more so today. Dont be fooled.

Re: “Eating Greens With Brian Wendel

This documentary is going to revolutionize how people view their health. It's really empowering to know that one can prevent and even reverse diseases that people spend large sums of money managing medically with limited success.

Re: “Hidden Wisdom

it's like the Gospel of Judas and of Mary Magdalene - they were written around the same time than all the other Gospels or so, and yet they are rejected by the Church because it changes how Mary Magdalene was portrayed - in her Gospel, she is well-versed, and is seen teaching the other disciples. And in The Gospel of Judas, Jesus asked Judas to betray him because it must be done.
People say - it's not in the Bible so it cannot be true. But do people realize that it was the Roman Government and bishops together that chose what texts would go into the Bible and then burnt the rest of the texts??? Do people realize that so many texts of Jesus did not end in the Bible because the Bishops and Roman Government did not understand them - they did now understand the own words of Jesus? And so they were then declared "heretical".. That the texts that were put in the Bible were voted on and only what they could understand?
There is so much more to Jesus' story than what is commonly known - a deep message of love and that talks about self-knowledge.
"Know yourself" = Gnosis is a universal knowledge - it is within each one of us. The knowledge of the Heart - and we all have one, don't we?

Thanks for this article - it's great to see this out-there.
