9/11 Film Festival

When: Thu., Sept. 11, 12-11 p.m. 2008
Price: $10

With regime change seemingly forthcoming in the US, it's an interesting time to revisit the events of September 11th and analyze everything that's gone wrong since then. Thursday, September 11's 9/11 Film Festival at the Grand Lake Theater (3200 Grand Ave., Oakland) features a variety of new films on the subject, including the German documentary 911 False Flag and a narrative noir film called Able Danger. Launched in 2004 by Carol Brouillet, who founded the Northern California 9/11 Truth Alliance and created "deception dollars" (fake currency that replaces the usual dead presidents with a Bush or Cheney mug shot), the festival runs eleven hours and features lectures by former Congressman Dan Hamburg;  professor emeritus Peter Dale Scott; filmmaker Ken Jenkins, and engineer Richard Gage. Noon-11 p.m., $10
