4th Annual Fall Pop-Up Beer Garden at the Oaktree Farm

When: Sun., Oct. 14, 12-5 p.m. 2018
Price: free

Beer Garden Pop-Up at Cohen-Bray House and Oak Tree Farm

If you’re a lover of Oakland history, check out the fourth annual Beer Garden Pop-Up on Saturday at the historic (and widely rumored to be haunted) Cohen-Bray House and Oak Tree Farm in Fruitvale. The Victorian house was built in 1884 as a wedding present for Emma Bray and Alfred Cohen, both members of prominent Oakland families. Although the couple’s descendants have lived in the house since its construction, the interior, including the wallpaper, woodwork, furniture, and decor, is largely unchanged. While you’re enjoying the garden, grab a taco from the Tacos El Grullo truck and sip on beer from Cultivar. Cultivar began as a Napa Valley winery and later opened a wine bar in San Francisco. Cultivar then began brewing its own beer, which is made from six different varieties of hops they grow themselves on a five-acre farm located on the Sacramento River. There will also be lawn games, live bluegrass music, and tours of the home available. Proceeds from the event benefit the Cohen Bray House and Oak Tree Farm. Entry is free, and all ages (and leashed dogs!) are welcome.
