32nd Annual Emeryville Art Exhibition

Emeryville Art Exhibition

While Oakland and Berkeley get most of the arts attention in the East Bay, Emeryville has a bonafide arts community as well. See for yourself at the 32nd annual Emeryville Art Exhibition, which features the work of 115 artists who live or work in Emeryville. With 165 pieces on display — and for sale — this is the largest group show in its history. It promises a wide range of styles, with paintings, sculpture, photographs, textiles, ceramics, glass works, and poetry from a mix of emerging and established artists. One piece that’s sure to be widely talked about is the “Police Mindfulness Meditation Chair,” a multimedia installation comprised of immersive lounge seating with sound effects by conceptual artist Packard Jennings. Other featured artists include painter M. Louise Stanley, sculptor Melody Kozma-Kennedy, ceramicist Jered Nelson, printmaker Linda Lee Boyd, and textile artist Susan Taber Avila.
