Attendees will learn to create an enforceable commercial lease agreement. Issues discussed will include party identification, economic terms, length of leasehold, default provisions, estoppels, attornment, assignment, condemnation, insurance, indemnity and ADR provisions. Lease provisions favorable to tenants and landlords will be balanced and considered. The session will identify problem lease clauses and provide often overlooked drafting insights for new practitioners. Attendees will receive draft commercial leases to review. He has over 32 years’ experience in commercial real estate.
