13th Annual Womyn of Color Arts & Crafts Show

When: Nov. 24-25, 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. 2007
Price: free

Now in its thirteenth year, the Womyn of Color Arts & Crafts Fair and Show features painting, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, woodwork, hand-made cards, and knit clothing, mostly by local artists. Explained coordinator AdaliaSelket, it's for women who don't make mass production or don't have thousands of molds or second copies of their work, so most of the stuff you'll find is original. Painter Karen Turner will showcase paintings with watermelon themes; one year a woman made jewelry out of old coins. The fair runs 10:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 24 & 25, at La Peña Cultural Center. Free.
