.Best Vintage Clothing StoreButtons and bunnies

Lapin

The shop takes its name (French for rabbit) from an old classroom poster of a rabbit that the owner, Maria Carranza, gave to her husband. Thus the idea for the shop was born. Since its inception last fall, Lapin has grown into a gem of a vintage clothing and accessories store, where all kinds of delightful articles just keep, well, breeding like rabbits. The store features vintage clothing for adults and children, accessories, pictures, and all sorts of rabbits, including a real bunny in a glass cage at the center of the store. With her keen eye, Carranza has carefully picked some truly interesting pieces, such as postcards of 19th-century Swiss nudes, earrings made from Victorian buttons, and a great selection of black dresses. This is not your usual bunch of musty and dank items — the clothing is clean and in excellent condition, and there are many pieces that even the novice would want to wear. The shop itself is a feast for the eyes, with glass terrariums scattered about and school flashcards hung atop the clothing racks. It’s a place with real personality and a unique sense of all things vintage.
