L'Amyx Tea Bar

Ordinarily, if an establishment boasted, “It’s not just ______; it’s a lifestyle,” you would be sure to avoid it like the plague. But at L’Amyx, it’s not just a slogan, but an incontrovertible fact. Simply opening the door and inhaling the L’Amyx aura will recharge the spirit. Ordering a caffeine-free Unwind Me Chai, a Relaxing Rooibos bubble tea, or a Good Night’s Rest herbal blend will guarantee serenity for at least several hours. In addition to tea (and, in what seems to be a compromise, coffee drinks,) L’Amyx has a lovely dessert case, full of mochi, mango mousse, and tiramisu, amply compensating for the fact that tea has no calories. The prices are balk-worthy, but easily forgotten while sitting at a quiet table surrounded by local artwork, and pouring from an ornate, miniature tea pot. But no checking your e-mail: L’Amyx eschews Wi-Fi. It would harsh the uncaffeinated vibe. Sip slowly, and don’t think of it as $3 tea. It’s an equanimity tax.
