Soup, salad, and sandwiches done right are just about as good as it gets. And at 900 Grayson, plan on getting just that — whether it’s the basic “Stone Soup,” the Chopped Cobb Salad, the tasty pulled pork concoction “Miss Piggy and the General,” or the fried chicken comfort food masterpiece, “Demon Lover.” This quaint wooden box of a restaurant makes its somewhat-obscure stretch of Grayson Street a lunch and breakfast destination (complete with tasty buttermilk waffles). That it’s not exactly in the heart of the Gourmet Ghetto only makes 900 Grayson all the more lovable. Our only beef: As longtime fans of Miss Piggy, the queen of the karate chop, we love her sandwich but still struggle with the idea of eating anything named after our favorite swine.
