.10:00 a.m. Daily Throughout October: Best Pumpkin Patch

Joan's Farm & Pumpkin Patch

For the last thirteen years, owners Joan and Louis Madsen have helped make a visit to the pumpkin patch as cool as it is in a Charlie Brown special. Open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily throughout the month of October, the Madsens’ patch spans twelve acres smack-dab in the middle of a working cattle ranch. A visit here is about much more than just selecting a beautiful pumpkin. The Madsens operate a petting farm with chickens, donkeys, sheep, goats, and chickens where kids can touch and feed the animals. There’s a faux Western town on the property with a blacksmith shop, old schoolhouse, and a jail. Kids can pan for gold, jump around in the bouncy house, paint their faces, or climb around on old farm machinery. The Madsens sell squash, Indian corn, and gourds during the month of October and offer hayrides as well. A small store on the property sells antiques, collectibles, and Halloween decorations and candy. Visitors can hold birthday parties here or host a picnic on the property. Linus and Lucy would be jealous.
