Planning and Plodding (and Dancing!)

Best of the East Bay Party meetings have been bumped up to twice a week. Though we could easily spend another day per week talking about the event, it has been great devoting so much time to what we know is going to be a tent-pole event of the summer. I think the blog has so far hammered home the fact that we have cool bands playing. More of those to come, but hopefully we can start leaking out some of the other fun facts for this year's Best of the East Bay Party.

After spending a couple of afternoons mapping out the entirety of Jack London Square (field sobriety practice), placing people and events seems a little more manageable. I think we have an amazing spot lined up for one of the events "new" to the Best of the East Bay Party, the Dance Battle sponsored by Yak Films. The crew at Yak (recent winners of the East Bay Express 24hr Digital Film Festival [check 'em out here]) are helping to bring together some really electric dancers in what will surely be a memorable event. These guys really know their stuff; they managed to throw an impromptu dance exhibition at our Best of the East Bay Party in 2008, so we are excited to see what happens with a little more lead time.

Stay tuned, more to come.
