Matthew Stafford

Matthew Stafford is a native of San Francisco, a graduate of the S.F. State film department, and an aficionado of baseball, jazz, classic movies, and ice-cold martinis. He writes about travel, film, local history and other topics for the Pacific Sun and the SF Weekly when he isn't eating and drinking at restaurants, bars and dives on behalf of the East Bay Express. Twice winner of the California Newspaper Editors Association's Best Column in a Weekly Newspaper award, Stafford's proudest moment was getting quoted by Johnny Carson (not Letterman, not Leno, Carson) on the Tonight Show.
