Tuesday’s Briefing: Warriors Heading to the NBA Finals; Alameda Considers Raising Minimum Wage to $15/Hour

Alameda is considering whether to raise the city’s minimum wage to $15 an hour in January, even though state law will raise the minimum across California within five years. The city council is also weighing whether the minimum wage increase should apply to all employers regardless of the size of their business, whether some businesses could be exempted, and whether the ordinance should take into account medical benefits.
