According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” website, just 60 minutes of active play every day can keep kids fit. And America SCORES, a self-proclaimed “soccer league with a purpose” that runs an after-school program in several Oakland schools, received a shout-out in a White House report earlier this month on ending childhood obesity.
