The UC Pension Fund lost about $16 billion last year, according to the Chron. That should come as no surprise to Express readers. Ever since the UC Board of Regents, under Republican operative Gerald Parsky, handed over the public pension fund to private managers, it has been just a shell of its once healthy self.
