Oakland: Still Scary

So sez the latest crime report from CQ Press, the outfit that analyzes FBI crime statistics and ranks cities according to their citizens', um, cavalier approach to the law. Big fat caveat: FBI spokesmen have criticized the report in the past, claiming that CQ's method is too crude. That said, let's go to the numbers. Oakland is now the fifth most dangerous city in America, with only New Orleans, Camden, Detroit, and St. Louis beating it for the top spot. Richmond came in at number nine.
