The Chron has a few more details about Matthew Wilson, the Rice University student who vanished earlier this summer and was finally found hunched over a laptop in UC Berkeley's Dwinelle Hall. He liked to read the anarchist essay collection "Days of War, Nights of Love." He apparently dug the punk band Fine White China and scribbled its lyrics in a notebook. He ate by table-diving scraps from Cal cafeterias, and slept on campus after his car was discovered. He's being held at the John George Psychiatric center until his mom flies in from Texas. He didn't seem to hook up with the local anarchist scene, but kept to himself and wandered around campus, lost in the sea of faces. Oh, and some guy at People's Park wonders what the fuss is all about.
