The Chron reports that Oakland wunderkind and attorney general Jerry Brown, whose office is responsible for suing to enforce state law, has declared the language of Prop 8, which would ban gay marriage, is not retroactive. Which means he won't be suing to invalidate gay marriages conducted before the November election. So getcher veils and cummerbunds together, ladies and gents! Although Prop. 8 looks tough to pass, its always smart to hedge your bets.
