.Concord Resident Gets Irritated, Makes Law

You may recall that local rookie state Assemblyman Mark DeSaulnier, apparently stuck as to what he’s supposed to do in Sacto, held a contest in which he asked his constituents to submit their own proposed laws. Well, the results are in, and the winner is… bigger fines for assholes who illegally park in handicapped spaces! The proposed legislation would beef up the fines to as much as $1,250, although we’re fairly sure some sort of public shaming provision would have been nice. According to NBC 11, the grand prize went to Concord disabled attendant Alisa Rosillo, who submitted the idea and won an all-expenses-paid Sacramento lunch with Mr. DeSaulnier, as well as a chance to “see how the bill process works.” Move over, crack cocaine, there’s a new high in town!
