Christmas Trees Stolen in Fremont; Opening Shot in 2006's War on Xmas

Thieves made off with 19 Christmas trees worth more than $1,000 from a garden store in Fremont late Wednesday, reports MediaNews. "I hope they give them to someone that really needs them,'' said the manager of the victimized Navlet's Garden Center. "I hope they have a very merry and guilty Christmas.''
