Oakland Out-Hate-Crimed by Pleasanton, Livermore

Pleasanton and Livermore are more hate crime-prone than Oakland, reports the Tri-Valley Herald, citing FBI statistics for 2005. Oakland had three reported hate crimes last year, while Pleasanton and Livermore clocked in at four apiece. To be fair, Livermore police say none of the incidents there were violent. Inter-92510 comparisons aside, we can all celebrate being more peaceable than our brethren in San Francisco, where more hate crimes were reported than in all of the East Bay combined.
