This Friday’s upcoming First Friday Street Fair has been canceled due to expected heavy rain. After cancellations of both the December and January street fairs, this will be the third month that the usual outdoor festivities will be missed. But don’t be fooled, all of the scheduled indoor events —Art Murmur and otherwise— will take place. Check OaklandArtMurmur.org to see the plentiful array of art openings and events you have to choose from as shelter from the storm. That includes an artist talk at Joyce Gordon Gallery by the endlessly fascinating Bryan Keith Thomas, and an expansive art opening and project launch at Oakstop for Black Artists on Art. LeQuiVive will also be opening an incredible installation of work by Optimist in the show Packrat’s Paradise. Stay dry but don’t miss out!
