Good news for Berkeley-based promoter Another Planet Entertainment, organizer of Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival: The San Francisco Board of Supervisors unanimously voted Tuesday to extend its permit, which keeps the annual festival in Golden Gate Park for another eight years, as reported by the San Francisco Chronicle.

The agreement requires Another Planet to pay more than $500,000 to hold next year's event, which includes a new fee for restoring the park after the event. The agreement also increases the maximum capacity for the event from 50,000 to 75,000 attendees per day.

Outside Lands 2013 will take place August 9 through August 11; the lineup has not yet been announced.
