.Replicator Calling It Quits

After eight years and three albums, Oakland noise-rock band Replicator recently announced they’re calling it quits. “Replicator is doing something many other bands should, and breaking up,” reads their press release. Singer/guitarist/local-music-enthusiast Conan Neutron insists this isn’t a hiatus, or an excuse to find new members, or that they’re “out of ideas.” Rather, the effort became too much of a sacrifice. Of course, they’re not going out quietly. The band has planned two final shows — March 28 at Ghost Town Galleries and April 5 at the Hemlock — plus they’ll release a final recording available at the Hemlock show. In the meantime, they’re asking for fan photos of the band to include with the release. Click here for more info.
